A minor setback for a major comeback
This game was played very well by our defense but i felt like they eventually got tired from all the time on the field. The defense recorded 2 fumbles on the day and a couple of 4 down stops. The offense started off the first series ok but after a dropped touchdown we never regained our momentum the score was 10-0 at half. From what i seen First coast were not better than ribault they just made more plays than we did. Now its time to regroup during this bye week and go on to the next one against Bolles. The season has just started we are now getting into the meat of our schedule and i believe this is just a minor setback for a major comeback the journey to a state championship HAS NOW OFFICIALLY BEGAN!!

Against all odds
As I told you in my pregame story we couldn't start looking ahead to First coast and thats what we were doing at first. To start off the game our defense forced a fumble and recovered the fumble and our offense subsequently scored and after that it seemed like some of the players took the pedal off, and as a result we were getting numerous of penalties (some that was wrong calls) but at that point we were up 10-0 when Darren Anderson made what seemed to be a 30 yarder, but it seemed after that things just started falling apart it started with a throwing play by paxon right to DB Dennis Rogers who somehow let the paxon receiver take the ball right out of his hands for a reception, and they subsequently scored on the next play and that gave them the momentum and paxon defense got on the field and forced a 3 and out and blocked the punt for a touchdown and they ended the half on a field goal. Ribault is down 10-17 at half and everyone knew it shouldn't be the score that it was and it seemed like the coaches lit a fire under the players, the one good thing was we got the Ball back after half and Corey Donald returned it for about 45 yards which gave us the momentum back and after that point the o-line started doing their job in blocking someone I saw step up was o-lineman Josh Denson it seemed to me after half he took his game to another level and by him and the o-line doing their job in blocking that gave RB Darryl Campbell the time to take the game over with his 3 rushing touchdown's including a 70 yarder, but I can't just single out the o-line as the only won's blocking the receivers were to, and like a wise one once said "A big run can't happen without the help of effective blcking from your receivers". And with all the help of his blockers he was able to amass 183 yards on 20 carries for 3 td's, QB Kevin williams also did a good job managing the game. But without this defense I don't know where we would be they have saved this team on countless number of times, and were a very important part of us winning the game with timely stops.
Offensive player of the game: RB Darryl Campbell
Defensive player of the game: LB Milton Johnson (who to me was exploding on almost evry play getting a piece of whoever had the ball)
- Last thought of the day: I have to give it up to our coaching staff to make great half time adjustments for our first come behind victory of the year, that's why I still say we have the best coaching staff in the state and our players did a good job of coming out and playing a hell of a second half, because when you're down at halftime playing against all odds and can pull out a win that is what I meant when I said u have to play 4 quarters of football.

Focused on the task at hand
From the Head Coach down to the last player we are all prepared for paxon. People constantly asking if we're ready for First Coast but I like what one of the players said "ask me about First Coast next week I am focused on paxson right now". And that's the attitude I believe that this whole team needs to have going into tomorrow night's game and I believe that they will. The main reason that I believe we need to put them away early is if we start looking ahead to our next game then paxson might sneak up on us and we can't let that happen. So my main goal for us is to stay focus.
My keys to the game: -No turnovers in the redzone (or turnovers period)
-Win the battle of the trenches
-Forcet turnovers and get sacks/put pressure on the oppossing offense
And if we do the things I just said we should dominate paxson in all phases of the game. We'll see if we keep what I like to call a determined mindset going into tomorrow night's game.

Trenches
Today i had the opportunity to spend time with the group of guys who quite frankly have one of the biggest parts on if we win or lose week in and week out. That is the offensive and defensive lines which is where football games are won and loss in the trenches. The offensive line consists of Demetrius MCcswain, Brandon Bowens, Josh Denson, Tony Young, Gregory Stockton, Tawn Henderson, and Donovan Brown. While on the defensive line you have Raynard Felton, Aaoron MCcullah, Shemar Austin, Ralph Tagelle, Carlton Yokley, and Marcus Robinson. Saw alot of tenacity and grit from both lines in drills and inside run working on their assignments and also giving 110% at all times which was a big accomplishment to me if we continue to put out these lines will continue to win the battle of the trenches and lead us to a state championship. The most underrated and surprise player at practice today was Shemar Austin he had a sack and forced an incomplete pass he also has a constant motor and is quick off the blocks he was putting pressure on the offensive line all practice long this is one player that can be darn good as long as he stays on track and continue to listen to the coaches. Through todays practice their was a lot of battling back and forth between the offensive and defensive line but the defensive line won the battle of the trenches today with its constant and all around push to the offensive line and basically getting up the field, and also combined for 5 sacks and numerous tackles and pressures on the quarterback all i can say is great job defensive line it was really point blanc domination. But the good thing is theres always practice tommorrow i will be studying the trenches all week it can really give you a census on how physical this team can be. Starting with the defensive line to the safeties this is a complete defense i believe one of the best in the state very aggressive, technically sound, smart, and very well skilled and fast from top to bottom.

Trojans crush braves and cruise to 21-0 victory
We justed finished week 2 and our trojans are still undefeated the defense was superb again but unlike last week we held our opponent to 0 yea that's right zero points, and unlike last week we even had a sack by dlineman Raynard Felton, his sack came at a crucial moment in the gane where the braves were driving down the field and that stopped them in their tracks, and later on that drive Khari Howard. But the thing that surprised me was how our offensive line rebounded from last weeks performance but 2 people on the offensive line that stood out to me was Brandon Bowens who had all good snaps and also blocked very well, the other lineman that stood out to me was Tony Young he had a very solid game and didn't allow any sacks. And by our olineman giving Keion time to pass we were able to execute our passes, we had a couple of drops but I know we'll get that fixed this week but even with the drops Keion still had 2 TD passes to WR Derek Jones. Our running back tandem of Darryl Campbell and James Branch was at it again Darryl had a td run and james had some good runs and almost a productive run. Overall it was a well coached and played game. So I want to send a warning out to whoever has to face us be ready for a 4 quarter dog fight because if u not u gone be in for a ride that I guarantee you won't like.
Offensive player of the game: WR Derek jones
Defensive player of the game: safety Khari Howard
Surprise of the day: Darren Anderson making a extra point.

Just getting started
What a great solid game from both sides of the ball but lets start with defense. They forced 8 turnovers: 4 interceptions (2 by db Marcus Uzzel, and 2 by Miguel Marquez 1 by Lakhalon Holland). But they weren't the only ones making plays the defense as a unit was basicly lockdown with only one mistake, one thing I loved about the defense is every time someone got the ball basicly the whole defense would come in to help on the tackle and I can already tell this defense isn't goin to be nothing to play with.
Now the offense had a good game to Qb Keion Westmoreland went 6 for 9 135 yds 3 passing tds and 1 rushing one thing I liked about him is that no matter what happened in the game he kept his composure and that's the kind of Quarterback we need, they don't have to have the strongest or most accurate arm but has to know how to make timely decisions which I saw him make. RB Daryl campbell also had a good game with 102 rushing yds on 22 attempts for 4.6 yards per carry, he also had a 80 yard reception for a td. Another rb who had a good game was James Branch who had 60 yards on 3 carries with 20 yards per carry but one mistake he had was his fumble in which every one new he was going to score but I know this running back will rebound and I will predict he's going to score a td Friday. Another rb that did good was Tevin richardson even though a couple of his runs got called back he was running hard. RB Terrance thomas caught a pass from Keion to convert a 2 point conversion.
Special teams: Timothy Robinson had 3 punts for 92 yards and an average of 30 yards per punt. Kos Raynard felton had 3 kickoffs for 92 yards and an average of 43 yards per kick. James Branch also had a good return of 22 yards.
I have to also commend the coaches for calling a good game. I couldn't give it to one player so here's my players of the game:
Offensive players of the game :QB Keion Westmoreland and RB Daryl Campbell
Defensive players of the game: DB Marcus Uzzel DB Miguel Marquez and Safety Khari Howard
Now we got that out the way its time to get ready for Terry Parker.
