Sit down w/ LB Gary Alexander
Randy: What were your reflections from how the season ended last year?
Gary: It left a bad taste in my mouth and I am determined to not let it happen again.
Randy: Do you feel like the team has been preparing themselves to be the state champs and why?
Gary: Yes because we can only have 11 players on the field at one time and we have a good number of committed players who have been in the weight room since December.
Randy: What do you think it will take as a team to reach your goal?
Gary: Everybody has to be willing to work hard, have the desire to win as a team, and be willing to listen to the coaches.
Randy: What is your passion for playing football?
Gary: Knocking out people legally.
Randy: What do you think makes you try to motivate people around you to get better?
Gary: I want to be the weakest player on my team because that means we're a hard working disciplined team.
Randy: What do you think it takes to be a leader of this football team?
Gary: They have to hold the players accountable and someone who younger players can look up to. And their has to be more than 1 leader. The most important thing is they have to have a no nonsense for doing the wrong things.
Randy: How do you feel about new QB D.J. Gillins transferring in?
Gary: I'm on defense so I'm not to focused on him I just want him to put up points and I know he can't do it by himself.
In conclusion I got a feeling from him that their would be big expectations for the upcoming season, in fact their's a feeling of State Championship or Bust.

HOW BAD CAN IT GET!!!
The (1-10)Ribault Trojans lost to the now (12-5)Terry Parker Braves 39-0. It was the worst lost of the season 39-0 in a game that lasted only the minimum 5 innings while getting one-hit for the second time this season. The only hit was generated by Dakota Johnson, which was the only highlight in a very lackluster effort. The starting pitcher today was Kaharii Christopher who pitched 2 1/3 innings giving up 9 earned runs 1 strike out 10 walks 1 hit batter 17 hits given up.Then came Jaquavious Bridges to relieve Christopher in a game that got no better he pitched 3 1/3 innings, 10 earned runs1 strike out 1 walk and 3 batters hit. So in this game the Trojans were basically over powered by the Braves in an error filled game. There was a very large talent and coaching mismatch in favor of Terry Parker
For this team to compete they need to play small ball because they cannot score runs efficiently and can't really stop a team from scoring. So now this team really needs to get back to the fundamentals and try to get a little better before the season ends but this is some really bad baseball I'm seeing. This whole team from coaching to the bench needs to re-examine theirselves and try to make the best of the rest of this season.
